The Charity, “Legend on the Bench”,  aims to put suicide prevention benches in every park and open space throughout the UK. Every bench displays quick access to information at any time of the day or night for anyone experiencing mental health issues.  It is our Club’s intention to have at least one bench installed in the Tendring Area.

On 22nd December 2025 the first of these benches was unveiled in the Rose Garden on the Top Promenade on Clacton’s seafront next to the Memorial Garden.  At a cost of £1,750 we are hoping to raise enough funds to purchase another bench to be placed elsewhere within our area.
