Donations Presentation

On 28th January, we held our annual Presentation Evening during which we gave awards to the winners of our heat of the International Peace Poster Competition; thanked special organisations who had helped us with collecting pre-loved soft toys and we gave away a total of £3,475 including £500 to the Clacton School Uniform Bank; £525

The Legend on the Bench bench has arrived

The Charity, “Legend on the Bench”,  aims to put suicide prevention benches in every park and open space throughout the UK. Every bench displays quick access to information at any time of the day or night for anyone experiencing mental health issues.  It is our Club’s intention to have at least one bench installed in

New Melvyn Jones Fellowship

At our regular meeting on 12th November, our Lion President Stephen Browne awarded a Melvyn Jones Fellowship to Lion Lynda Gray in recognition of the many hours of service that she gives mainly in the background preparing donated soft toys for re-use as prizes in our summer games amongst lots of other activities.  Well done

Santa’s off to ASDA in Clacton

Santa is off to the ASDA Superstore at Bull Hill, Clacton on Sea at 10 am on Thursday 14th December until 4pm.  He will also be there for the same time period on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.  Do come along and meet Santa.

Christmas Collections – Location One

On Friday 8th and Saturday 9th December, we shall be at the Co-op Superstore in Brightlingsea between 10 and 4 holding a Bucket Collection.  The monies raised are being split 50/50 with the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance Trust.  Come along and see us.
